Ciani is
a self taught pianist and has developed broad interest in Electronic Musics
after being inspired by synthesizer pioneer Don Buchla. Although
she began her career ground-up through little assistance, Suzanni's electronic
music is acceptable to the public, and later became more popular as she
began creating her own albums.
"Her 1982 debut release, Seven Waves, became a hit first in Japan.
Her second album, The Velocity of Love, connected quickly with the New
Age Radio Stations that had begun to appear the US."
Currently
three music albums of Ciani's have brought to my attention, the fifth-wave
is a collection of Ciani's music of the eighties, all of them are
created with vely-old applications and tools, the Pianossimo especially
the Velocity of Love solo piano, really have inspired me because this
is one of the most perfect music I ever heard! The third is when Ciani's
concert was held in Taiwan, which made me like her even more. The music
Turning is Ciani's gift to one of the most influential female music
artist (Chi-Yi) in Taiwan. Not only it shows Ciani's appreciation to Chinese
culture and gratitude howards her coming, but it is also a new leap for
her to try out vocal music.
One of Cianni's most breath-taking creation is the Velocity of Love .
However, getting to the point, I love many of Suzanne Ciani's creation,
and to be one of the most influential New Age artist, you wont be expecting
anything better.
Since there is little informations on female New Age artists. There is
a CD called "Sounds Like Love" solo piano which includes the
very-bests of many female artists including Sally Harmon and Suzanne Cianni.
More informations will be provided in the future.
An unofficial fan
site has been created by LUCY, a Chinese fan.

This album contains many of Suzanne's past favorites,
and Suzanne Ciani's first vocal music "Turning"... sung
by *my favorite* Asia Female singer: Chi-Yi. I agree with Ciani that Chi-Yi
has the most beautiful voice.
